This page explains what information carterconlon.com collects, why, and what you can do about it. The site is the ministry website of Pastor Carter Conlon.
What we collect
Your email address and name, if you subscribe. When you sign up for the daily devotional or ministry updates, we keep your email address, and your name if you give it, so we can send you what you asked for. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and it works right away.
What you write to us. If you use the contact form, we receive your name, your email address and your message, and we use them only to answer you.
How the site is used. We use Google Analytics to see which pages are visited and roughly where visitors come from, so we can improve the site. It uses cookies and does not tell us who you are.
What we do not do
We do not sell, rent or trade your information. We do not send you email you did not ask for.
Services that help us run the site
Some of the work is done by other companies, who handle information only on our behalf: Mailchimp sends our emails, Google Analytics measures visits, YouTube plays the videos on our pages, and our podcast host delivers the audio. Giving is handled by Pushpay on its own website, under its own privacy policy; card details never reach us.
Our publishing tool and TikTok
The ministry team uses an internal publishing tool to post the ministry's own videos to the ministry's own social accounts, including TikTok. When the team connects the ministry's TikTok account, the tool receives that account's display name, username and profile picture, and a permission token that lets it upload and post videos to that account. It is used for nothing else. The tool does not read followers, messages or anyone else's content, and it holds no information about people who watch or follow the account. The ministry can disconnect the tool at any time, from the tool itself or from the TikTok app under Settings, Security and permissions, Manage app permissions, which ends its access.
Children
The site is for a general audience and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
