For 38 years, the man at the pool of Bethesda waited for the stirring of the water. Every time he tried to get there, somebody else stepped in before him. He'd spent years believing that his miracle was always out of his reach. But then Jesus came.
The beauty of this story is that the word of God came to him. The water was stirring now, but the stirring was within him. Suddenly he began to realize he didn't have to crawl to the water anymore. The water had actually come to him.
Many people spend their lives waiting for something to happen before they can move forward. But when Jesus comes, everything changes. The stirring that you're looking for may not be around you. It may be happening actually right now within you. God is speaking to you. Listen to His voice and allow Him to awaken faith where hopelessness in your heart once lived.
