Your Gift From God

Luke 23:34: “Then Jesus said, ‘Father, forgive them for they do not know what they do.’ And they divided his garments and cast lots.” Casting their creator out of their society brought fearful darkness over the nation. It’s inconceivable that people would do that to someone whose only mission was to heal and to forgive.

Jesus Himself explained the moment in John 3:19, saying these words: “Men love darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil.” For them, the cross was a place to scavenge for goods, not a place to admit their condition and their need.

How about you today? Listening to this, do you realize that you need to be forgiven? If you do, the good news is that forgiveness is your gift from God.
