Whining that Leads to Wine

In Ecclesiastes 2, in half ofverse three, Solomon says: "I searched in my heart how to gratifymy flesh with wine while guiding my heart with wisdom."

Think of the tragedy of this man's life. Solomon was given the ability of God and the responsibility to guardthe testimony of God on the earth. He coulddesign and protect the Temple of God, a place of prayer with answers. You would thinkthere would be no more pinnacle of spirituality than that moment.

Somehow, in the midst of it all, Solomon got bored. The very firstthing he did was drink wine. We know where that ultimatelyled; what a tragedy. Pray that we don't givein to these desires of the flesh.

It'stime to pray.
