When You Can't Stand, Kneel

Psalms, chapter 69, beginning at verse one: "Save me, O God! For the waters have come up to my neck. I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing; I have come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me. I am weary with my crying; my throat is dry; my eyes fail while I wait for my God."

We all have seasons like this one that David writes about, times when we are shaken by what has come our way and our self-assuredness starts crumbling all around our feet. Sometimes our circumstances come to remind us that we need someone greater than ourselves to get through this journey called life. Perhaps that's why God calls Himself a friend who is closer to us than a brother. When we find ourselves in times like this, times of great need, here's some good advice for you today: when you can no longer stand, kneel.

It's time to pray.
