What Was in That Room?

Acts 2:1–2: “When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.”

What was in that room that set the precedent for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit of God? They were forgiven by Jesus and they forgave each other. They prayed together with one heart and one accord. They were no different than we are. They just made choices that perhaps we haven't fully made yet.

When God finds a people like this, inevitably His presence will come, and people will be filled with the Holy Spirit and people will be saved. We need another baptism of God's Holy Spirit, but we must be willing to set aside all our grievances and past sins for the sake of coming into a unity and a purity of heart. To do this, remember, it's time to pray.
