Welsh Revival: One Act of Obedience
Psalms 85, verses six and seven: "Will You not revive us again, that Your people may rejoice in You? Show us your mercy, Lord, and grant us Your salvation." I love studying what God has done in the past. I suppose, mainly because Hebrews, chapter 13, verse eight says, "Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today and forever."
We have the account of one of the greatest social transformations of all times written by Oliver Price, called The Welsh Revival of 1904-05. In it, he states that it all began when a young Welshman, Evan Roberts, was repeatedly awakened to pray between one and five in the morning. The revival that followed packed churches for prayer meetings; a powerful spiritual awakening that brought 100,000 people to Christ was underway. One act of obedience can still change a nation. We're talking about what Jesus did yesterday.
It's time to pray.
