We Are Called in Weakness
First Corinthians, chapter one, beginning at verse 26: “For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble are called. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are.”
You and I are called in our weakness to be and to do something that bears witness to the supremacy of God. Chosen when we feel the least able, we're given divine wisdom, strength, and ability that exceeds all that this world, in its rebellion to godliness, is able to produce. This is the calling and purpose of your life. Today, consider it well and ask Jesus to help you to see it.
It's time to pray.
