Unity Is a Choice, Not a Feeling

Today, I am reading to you a portion of one of my favorite psalms, Psalm 133. “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head, running down on the beard, the beard of Aaron, running down to the edge of his garments. It is like the dew of Hermon, descending upon the mountains of Zion; for there, the Lord commanded the blessing&mdashlife forevermore."

Could it be in our age that the turmoil in our homes and communities exists because we refuse to reconcile inside the church? There is no power when there is disunity at the core of any unit, whether it's the family, the church, or any relationship. The power and blessing of God is manifested through unity. Disunity is a conduit of weakness. Unity is a choice, not a feeling. As followers of Jesus Christ, we must pursue it. Unity brings about a presence of God that lets people grow.

It's time to pray.
