To Be Separated For God

Numbers 6:1 says, “Then the Lord spoke to Moses saying, ‘Speak to the children of Israel and say to them, “When either a man or woman consecrates an offering to take the vow of a Nazarite to separate himself onto the Lord, he shall separate himself from wine and similar drink.”’”

In the Old Testament, to be separated unto God for a unique and divine purpose required a distancing from any substance which could alter or mar that purpose. In the same way, for you and I to fully represent Christ in our time requires a separation from the intoxicating influences of this world, from its speech to its entertainment. This present day offers uncountable opportunities to deviate from the high calling of Christ in each of our lives.

We must ask God to help us. We must ask Him now.
