They Wanted It All
Psalm 44, beginning at verse one, says, "We have heard with our ears, oh God, our fathers have told us the deeds you did in their days and days of old. You drove out the nations with your hand, but them you planted. You afflicted the peoples and cast them out. They did not gain possession of the land by their own sword, nor did their own arm save them. But it was your right hand, your arm, and the light of your countenance because you favored them."
We would do well today to revisit the record of God's faithful to those who have gone before us. They were as weak as we appear to be, as powerless as we seem, and as determined as we ought to be. They simply wanted all that God had for them. And He did for them what only He can do.
So, how badly do you want God to do something for you?
It's time to pray.
