They Are New Every Morning

Lamentations, chapter 3, verses 22 to 24: “Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. ‘The Lord is my portion,’ says my soul, ‘therefore I hope in Him!’”

There are times in all of our lives when we feel overwhelmed by our own frailties and failings. It’s at these times where the mercy of God becomes so precious again in our sight. Rising every day and realizing how kind He has been to us, it becomes easier to extend that same favor to others around us who desperately need it.

Though not feeling as strong as we should be, we become tremendous ambassadors every day of the promises of God telling us what we will soon be. O, thank God for mercy, thank God for new promises every morning.
