The Son Has Risen
Mark 16:1–2 says, “Now when the Sabbath was passed, Mary Magdalen, Mary, the mother of James, and Salome brought spices so that they might come and anoint him very early in the morning. On the first day of the week, they came to the tomb when the sun had risen.”
This chapter starts in a place of sadness. It was a difficult day. Death seemed to be all around them. The hopes of these people seemed to be dashed into the ground, and they were trying to make the best of what they felt was a really bad situation.
But the sun rose that morning on a new day, as the sun is rising today on a new day for many who will be willing to pray, turn to God, and ask Him for hope for the future that only He can give. The truth is He's alive, and He's willing to make Himself known if you are willing to pray.
It's time to pray.
