The Grace to Not Resist

Scripture says, "In the beginning, darkness was on the face of the deep."It says that God spoke, and the Spirit of God moved in unison. Life, light, and boundaries came. When God spoke, there was nothing in darkness that could resist His voice. Nature and the universe itself couldn't resist the voice ofGod.

However, when God created mankind in His image, He knew that He'd created something that could resist His voice.That's why we ultimately needed redemption on a cross.

I am praying today that God would give you and me the grace not to resist the Lord and instead allow His voice togo into the darkened places. I'm praying that the voice of God would go to very place of imprisonment, everywhere where hopelessness wants to abound.Friends, ask the Holy Spirit to move into every dark place in your life. You won't be sorry that you did.
