Tempered Speech And Prayer

First Corinthians, chapter 1, beginning at verse 10: "Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and the same judgement. For it has been declared to me concerning you, my brethren, by those of Chloe’s household, that there are contentions among you."

It is so important now as the Church of Jesus Christ, that we be of one heart and of one mind. We are called to shine as lights in a time of bitter division in our nation. We must rise above the sweeping tides of emotions swirling about us today and be clear, tempered voices calling this lost and confused generation back to God. Our calling is higher than to be mired in the hurtful rhetoric that has become the standard behavior of our time.

For you and I, it's time to pray!
