Sometimes We Lock People Out

Matthew, chapter 18, verses 29 and 30: "His fellow servant fell down at his feet and begged him, saying, 'Have patience with me, and I will pay you all.' And he would not, but went and threw him into prison till he should pay the debt."

There's a river of unforgiveness flowing through our world today. Sometimes we lock people out of our lives with unforgiveness. We cut people off and we cancel them, so to speak. When the spirit of unforgiveness gets a hold of us, we cannot be ambassadors of the very forgiveness that we received to reconcile us to God. We must be the opposite of those who want to vilify, marginalize, and hurt in our present-day society.

When you and I trust God to forgive our sins, then His power to forgive will make it possible for us to release others, too. You know, to get this power, there's only one way that I know—you have to know the truth.

Remember, it's time to pray.
