Rise & Shine

Isaiah 60:1–2: “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness, the people. But the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you.”

What an incredible opportunity we have as believers in Christ to witness the light of the living Savior in such a day of increasing darkness. The word “arise” implies an awareness of the God- given gift of the life and light of Jesus Christ living within us.

“In Him was life, and the life was the light of men,” says the Apostle John. If you have Christ, you already have light. All that remains is for you to arise, lay hold of God, and begin to shine.
