Remedy For a Failing Heart

The Gospel of Luke, chapter 21, verse 26 says, "men's hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken."

Everything around us today bears witness to these days which Jesus spoke of; with the abnormal becoming normal, to the unthinkable occupying everyday thought. Every morning seems to call out to us to embrace some new fear. How can we be a witness to the goodness of God when the common fears tug at our own hearts also?

It was King David who gave us the answer in Psalm 61, verse 2. He said, "From the end of the earth, I will cry to You, When my heart is overwhelmed; Lead me to

the rock that is higher than I."

Oh God, lead us again. It's time to pray.
