Memorial Day 2021

This Memorial Day, we remember that freedom is not free. We are free today because somebody paid a price for that freedom. As believers in Christ, we are free from the penalty and power of sin and the foreboding of spending an eternity without God because of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross for our sins.

In a similar way, many, many sons and daughters have fought on foreign fields, and they have defended, stood and protected the freedoms that we’ve come to know, cherish, love and, sad to say, maybe even taken for granted sometimes. But today, we don’t take it for granted. Today we stop to remember this incredible sacrifice of all of those who gave their lives and their blood so we can be free today—free to worship, free to speak, free to live, free to have hope, aspirations, and dreams. Thank you for what you did for us. On Memorial Day, we remember.

It’s time to pray.
