Living in a Dry Land

Psalms, chapter 68, verse six: "God sets the solitary in families; He brings out those who are bound into prosperity; but the rebellious dwell in a dry land." In the book of Proverbs, chapter one, verses 23 and 24, we clearly see the heart of God. Here's what He says: "Turn at my rebuke; surely I will pour out my spirit on you; I will make my words known to you. Because I have called and you refused, I have stretched out my hand and no one regarded."

God wants to bring us into fellowship with Himself and with others, as well as give us all that we need for our life's journey. But like a man standing in a barren field, we reject God and hope that this empty place will somehow satisfy our hearts. Maybe today, our first prayer needs to be for ourselves. It's time to escape barrenness. It's time to find the plentiful land of God.

It's time to pray.
