Lifting Us Up
Psalms 42, verse 11: "Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; for I shall yet praise Him, the help of my countenance and my God." \n\nFrom time to time, we are all prone to discouragement. There are seasons where, as the psalmist says, “my tears have been my food day and night.” These are moments where our enemies taunt us in our weakness saying, “Where is your God?” However, it's in these times of weakness, as the apostle Paul discovered, that the always available strength of God can best be rediscovered.\n\nLifting us up as only He does, we find our hearts made glad again and our sense of purpose is renewed. Then, we look our enemies in the face and we can say, "God is right here with me as you can plainly see." O thank God for His faithfulness.\n\nIt's time to pray.
