Last Night I Took a Stroll

Matthew, chapter 19, verse 26: “But Jesus looked at them and said to them, ‘With men, this is impossible, but with God, all things are possible.’”

Last night I took a stroll down Broadway from 52nd to 33rd Street. I haven’t been there in a long time. The sensory assault of anger, immorality, spiritual blindness, arrogance, and the absolute lack of simple courtesies in people could be overwhelming except for one thing: God is still able to turn darkness into light.

I found myself praying out loud and repeating over and over again, “Oh God, I don’t want to walk by what my natural eye sees, but by Your promises. You are able, oh Jesus, to turn this, you are able.” Please join me. Let’s pray together. Let’s believe in God one more time.
