It's What Jesus Says That Matters
Matthew 10:38–39: “And he who does not take his cross andfollow after me is not worthy of me. He who finds his life will lose it, and hewho loses his life for my sake will find it.”
It's about time somebody said it.Self-seeking Christianity is, in fact, most times not Christianity at all.Christ came to be given for others and to save those who are lost. He calls usto engage in and follow this passion of His heart.
To use the cross for the solepursuit of self is no different than the Roman soldiers gambling at the foot ofthe cross for His clothing. Go ahead and debate me if you will, but ultimatelyJesus says that continuous self-seeking is not worthy of Him.
Remember my brother, my sister, it'stime to pray.
