It's Time
First Samuel, chapter 22: "David therefore departed from there and escaped to the cave of Adullam. So when his brothers and all his father's house heard it, they went down there to him. And everyone who was in distress, everyone who was in debt, and everyone who was discontented gathered to him. So he became captain over them. And there were about four hundred men with him."
There are certain moments in history when it's imperative that we seek the presence and the power of God again. As the writer of Hebrews says, we come to God's throne to find help in our time of need (see Hebrews 4:16). As in David's day, evil suspicion, intolerance, division and the threat of violence seem to be in the air all around us. If we, the church of Jesus Christ, will do as they did, the strength and the victory of God which can be ours, will be ours again.
It's time to pray.
