If We're Going to Make It Through
Matthew, chapter 6, verse 12 says, "And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors." "As we forgive." There's an implication here that as we receive forgiveness, we will naturally extend it.\n\nWe're living in a time where people are taking up offenses on the most trivial of matters. The spirit of offense is very active, even in the church. We will have to be a forgiving people, if we're going to make it through the coming days.\n\nBy God's grace, you and I can be given a new heart and spirit, not just for receiving, but giving the forgiveness of God. In this day of unspeakable hatred, may you and I be ambassadors of another kingdom. May we choose, in obedience to God, to forgive all people, whether it's a letter or a visit, let's release the debt by faith and start praying for even our enemies every day. May we give freely what we have been so freely given.\n\nRemember, it's time to pray.
