Hell Will not Triumph Over Us

Beforethe apostle Peter had his grave situation where he denied even knowing JesusChrist, Jesus told him in Matthew 16:18, “AndI also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my churchand the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”

Inother words, Peter recognized Jesus to be the Messiah, the promised one, andeven though Hell would come against Him,Hell would not triumph over Him. As believers in Christ, you and I can take comfort in God’s words that Hell will nottriumph over us.

Whateverbattle you face today, you can receive God’s comfort and know that you now have an eternal victory. Thank God forthat.
