He Prayed Again

James 5:17, "Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months." Sometimes as we pray for a spiritual awakening to come to a nation, it can get pretty dry. The prophet prayed and the rain stopped.

We've been praying for a spiritual awakening in America, but now we have a dysfunctional government, a lack of intelligence in our political debates, violence in our streets and terrorism on our shore. It seems like the rain has stopped. We've done everything that we know to do, but in verse 18 it says, "He prayed again." You and I are now in a "he prayed again" moment in our history. It's time to ask and pray, "God open the heavens and send the rain of your Holy spirit so that it will produce fruit of the saving of the lost."

It's time to pray again.
