For Those Who Can't Sleep
Psalm 3, beginning at verse 3, says, “But you, oh Lord, are a shield for me. My glory and the one who lifts my head. I cried to the Lord with my voice, and he heard me from His Holy Hill. I lay down and slept. I awoke, for the Lord sustained me. I will not be afraid of ten thousand people who have set themselves against me.”
Today, there's so much to make us afraid—the uncertainty of the weather, the looming threats of war, and the social confusion of our time. Everything contributes to worry and loss of sleep.
But God promises to be our glory. Meaning He's the one who gives us such inner confidence that His name is brought to reputation through it all. Let Him lift your head today. Let Him lead you to that place where He alone becomes the source of all your rest.
It's time to pray.
