For the Sin of Their Mouth

Psalm 140 beginning at verse One, "Deliver me, O Lord, from evil men. Preserve me from violent men who plan evil things in their hearts. They continually gather together for war. They sharpen their tongues like a serpent. The poison of asps is under their lips."

Psalm 59, verse 12 says, "For the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips, let them even be taken in their pride, and for cursing and lying, which they speak."

How shameful today to hear of media personalities and even politicians cursing and lying as if there will be no present or future consequence for their words? They stand as poor examples to our children, and they lead others into the same weakness that they have embraced. As the people of God, it is incumbent that we now pray for national deliverance from both them and their speech.

Remember, my brother, my sister, it's time to pray.
