Everyone Remembers John
Luke, Chapter 18 in verse one says, "Then he spoke a parable to them that men ought always to pray and not lose heart." It can be easy to give up when everything seems to be going wrong, and victory no longer appears to be before us. Our tendency is just to quit and give it into the circumstance.
Not so with Olympic runner John Aquari. Halfway into his long-distance race, he fell and was badly injured. Instead of giving up, he continued, half running, half limping. People begged him along the course to quit, but he wouldn't. He crossed the finish line about one hour after the first place runner to the cheer of thousands who were waiting for him. Almost no one remembers the winner's name that day, but everyone remembers John.
Let us persevere and not lose faith in God.
It's time to pray.
