Each Time I Hold A Child

Mark 10, beginning midway through verse 14, says, “‘Let the little children come to me and do not forbid them, for of such is the kingdom of God. Assuredly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.’ And He took them up in His arms, laid His hands on them, and blessed them.”

As a pastor, father, and grandfather, I'm reminded of a deep calling on my life each time I hold a child in my arms. I'm called to protect, guide, and ultimately extend the blessing of God to them. It requires a generous heart and the willingness to fulfill that calling despite any personal cost.

We have an enemy doing everything he can to steal, kill, and destroy children’s futures. We need only God's strength to stand in the gap for them and push back this darkness.

It's time to pray.
