Don't Try to Fix Things

First Samuel 13, verses 11 to 13: "Samuel said, 'What have you done?' Saul said, 'When I saw that the people were scattered from me, and that you did not come within the days appointed, and that the Philistines gathered together at Michmash, then I said, "The Philistines will now come down on me at Gilgal, and I have not made supplication to the Lord." Therefore, I felt compelled, and offered a burnt offering.' And Samuel said to Saul, 'You have done foolishly.'"

Saul was told to wait for God's instruction to defeat the enemy. The battle was not his, it was the Lord's. You and I need to be careful when we begin to take matters into our own hands, feeling as though we have to make something happen. You and I are called to live faith-driven, not fear-driven, lives. Don't try to fix things. Trust and wait on God.

It's time to pray.
