Consider The Ant

Proverbs chapter six, beginning at verse six, "Go to the ant, you sluggard. Consider her ways and be wise, which having no captain, overseer or ruler provides her supplies in the summer and gathers her food in the harvest. How long will you slumber, oh sluggard? When will you arise from your sleep?"

Though the promptings of God are generally quiet and gentle, there are times in each of our lives when they may become more forceful. In this passage, He provokes the lazy and unconcerned person to consider the ant. It doesn't have to be pushed to gather what it needs during harvest time.

Looking around at lonely, confused, and hurting people today, ask yourself this simple question, "Am I doing what I should be doing and harvesting souls for the Kingdom of God? Especially now, is an ant wiser than I am?"

It's time to pray.
