Complaining My Blessing Away

Psalm 77, verses 2 and 3, "In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord; My hand was stretched out in the night without ceasing; My soul refused to be comforted. I remembered God and was troubled; I complained, and my spirit was overwhelmed."

When we complain about the circumstances in our lives, we rarely stop to consider that complaint in the Christian life can be a veiled accusation against the very faithfulness of God. In Romans, Chapter 8, verse 28, he tells us that, "all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to his purpose." That means that all things allowed in my life are there for a higher purpose than I can sometimes understand.

Oh God, help me not to complain away my blessing today. It's time to pray.
