Affliction is a Topic Seldomly Taught

Psalms 119, verse 67, says, "Before I was afflicted, I went astray, but now I keep Your word." Verse 71 says, "It is good for me that I've been afflicted, that I may learn Your statutes." And in verse 75, "I know, O Lord, that Your judgments are right, and that in faithfulness You have afflicted me."

Affliction is a topic seldom taught on these days, but it is necessary for us to understand the ways of God, as we learn to trust Him in every circumstance. Some affliction is divinely allowed by the faithfulness of God. It produces a trust from us, in Him, and brings about His purposes and His will in a way that other things may not. Quite honestly, sometimes we would learn His statutes no other way unless we experience affliction. Jesus Christ wants to teach us how to depend on Him and trust Him, every single day.

It's time to pray.
