A Weak Church In A Wayward World
Ephesians 4, beginning at verse 21, says, "If indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him as the truth is in Jesus, that you put off concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts and be renewed in the spirit of your mind and that you put on the new man, which was created according to God in true righteousness and holiness."
The church in our generation is weak. Part of the problem stems from the lack of reverence for God and the casual attitude toward sin. So many of God's people live in a debilitating mixture, standing with a smoke-stained lantern in their hand. Their lives present no clear path for those seeking help in an ever-growing hopeless world.
It's time for old ways of living to be put away. It's time for us to shine.
It's time to pray.
