A Smile on the Face of God
In Matthew, chapter six, verse seven, this is what Jesus said, "And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words."\n\nI had a chance to share the thought recently at a men's conference, that if our own children talked to us the same way that many of us talked with God, we'd have them taken for evaluation as to their soundness. Some think that repetitious phrases, hyper-speed speech and such like, guarantees access to the throne of God. Goodness sakes! Have you ever considered that Jesus Christ died for you because He wanted you back as a friend? And as a friend, He just wants you to talk with Him as you would talk to a loving father.\n\nTry today, to talk with Him the same way that you would talk with your best friend. I guarantee you one thing: when you do, you're going to see a smile on the face of God. Remember, it's time to pray.
