A Compelling Invitation
The gospel of Luke chapter 14, beginning at verse 22: "And the servant said, 'Master, it is done as you commanded, and still there is room.' Then the master said to the servant, 'Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.'"
This story that Jesus spoke to us is about a man who prepared a great feast and invited anyone who wanted to come to his house. However, everyone ignored his kindness and excused themselves because they were busy.
In our society today, we too have become so busy that most prayer meetings in God's house, if there are any, are empty. Yet, God in His mercy still sends out a message and messengers, an urgent one at that, that all things are ready for your provision, and you must come now.
It's time to pray.
