A Beacon of Hope
First Peter, chapter 3, beginning at verse 14: "But even if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you are blessed. And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled. But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed."
The Word of God tells us that we can overcome evil with the weaponry of good conduct and a good conscience. It actually promises that we will possess a hope that will awaken others to the reality of God. It begins when in our hearts, we decide that Jesus Christ is worth following wholeheartedly as our Lord and Savior. It unleashes inside our hearts a hope, a light, that cannot be hidden any longer.
It's time to pray.
