Rise Up and Believe

LISTEN/READ

In the book of 1 Peter, we are told that God has given us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these, we might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. We live by these promises.

“Whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea and does not doubt in his heart but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.’”

Jesus also told His disciples, “You’ve asked for nothing. Now I’m telling you to begin to ask me, and I will give to you that your joy might be full.” He also told us, “Everyone who asks, receives everyone who seeks is going to find, everyone who knocks the doorway shall be open.”.” It’s time for us to rise up and believe in the promises of God.

It’s time for us to pray.

God Gave You Giftings

LISTEN/READ

Ephesians 4:7–8: “But to each one of us, grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift. Therefore he says, ‘When he ascended on high, he led captivity captive and gave gifts to men.'”

With all that’s going on today, there would be a just cause for worry if we were only a natural kingdom. Then in our battle for righteousness, all we would have is a sword for sword and an argument for argument, but such is not the case.

You and I are a supernatural Kingdom bearing in these earthly bodies, a victory over darkness, and the ability of God to bring light and freedom to the darkest of places. God gave you giftings to do this. If you don’t know what your giftings are, it’s time to ask Him.

Remember my brother, my sister. It’s time to pray.

This Is How I Know Prayer Works

LISTEN/READ

Some of you might ask me today, “How do you know that prayer works?” Well, I know that prayer works because God gave me a great, great deliverance from nine years of fear that had occupied my life as a young man.

When I first came to Christ, I started reading the Word of God, and I read a promise that said, “If God is before us, who can be against us?” Then when I felt another one of these fear attacks coming on my life, I just stood in my living room, and I prayed. I believed that God was able to set me free, and from the top of my head to the tip of my toes, God touched me and set me free from nine years of hell and gave me life.

I know that He answers prayer. I know that when we begin to pray, the power of God is released in our lives. That’s why we get together with people from 211 countries all over the world on Tuesday nights at 7:00 PM EST at itstimetopray.org. It’s because He answers prayer.

It’s time to pray.

He is Our Hope

LISTEN/READ

In the Bible, John the Baptist pointed to Jesus and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.” Christ is the Lamb of God. He’s our hope, our victory, our present healing. He even heals our past, and He’s the one who assures our future.

On the other hand, the Devil will do everything in his power to devour the influence of the Lamb. Sometimes he even imitates the voice of God. He’ll try to tell you there’s a secret flaw in your life that makes you unusable by God. He’ll take the words of God into his mouth and try to distort them and confuse you, to get you to a place where you’ll just sit in the wilderness all the rest of your life.

Today, I want to challenge you not to allow this enemy of righteousness to take away your promises, hope, or victory. It’s time to rise up. It’s time to believe God. It’s time to ask Jesus Christ to be everything to you.

It’s time to pray.

Calling All Sheep

LISTEN/READ

John 10:27–28: “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me, and I give them eternal life and they shall never perish. Neither shall anyone snatch them out of my hand.”

Many years ago, a group of friends was visiting my sheep farm. The sheep were scattered throughout acres of pasture. “Call them in. Try,” I told them. One at a time, I challenged each person. Try as they may, loudly or softly, all the sheep just ignored them.

Then I stepped up and gave one call, to which they all came running at full speed, knowing they would be fed and they would be safe. As our day grows towards evening, I hear a voice. Jesus is calling us all to hasten and to draw near to Him. Can you hear Him?

Remember my brother, my sister; it’s time to pray.

The Devil Knows History

LISTEN/READ

1 Peter 5:8 says, “Be sober, be vigilant because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.”

The Devil fears people who are set apart for God because he knows history well. He’s been around long enough to see the Esthers, the Davids, the Gideons rise up and literally destroy his plans and parts of his kingdom. He knows what happens when someone rises and says they’re going to go all the way with God. He knows when people recognize it’s not by their righteousness that victories are won but by the righteousness and the power of God.

The Devil has been around long enough to see the outcome of a believer’s soberness and vigilance, and it scares him. He will try the best he can to take away your promises, your hope, your confidence, and your victory. Today, I want to challenge you. Hold on to Jesus as history has shown victory is yours.

It’s time to pray.

Your Gift From God

LISTEN/READ

Luke 23:34: “Then Jesus said, ‘Father, forgive them for they do not know what they do.’ And they divided his garments and cast lots.” Casting their creator out of their society brought fearful darkness over the nation. It’s inconceivable that people would do that to someone whose only mission was to heal and to forgive.

Jesus Himself explained the moment in John 3:19, saying these words: “Men love darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil.” For them, the cross was a place to scavenge for goods, not a place to admit their condition and their need.

How about you today? Listening to this, do you realize that you need to be forgiven? If you do, the good news is that forgiveness is your gift from God.

Remember my brother, my sister; it’s time to pray.

I Want to Remind You Today

LISTEN/READ

Today, I want to remind you that Jesus Christ Himself told us that Satan is a liar and the father of all lies. When he speaks a lie, that’s just who he is. He can’t speak the truth. He can only lie. He doesn’t know how to speak the truth. It’s not inside of him.

So if he tries to tell you that you’re not going to amount to anything, it’s because he fears that you will understand that God has a magnificent plan for your life, and that plan involves casting down and breaking down the walls of Satan’s kingdom.

Stop buying into the lies of the enemy today and start taking hold of God’s promises over your life. There are many people joining us from many countries all throughout the world, and we believe together that God will raise us up in this last generation to win a great harvest for Christ. Join us every Tuesday at 7:00 PM EST at itstimetopray.org.

It’s time to pray.

Are You Willing to Fight

LISTEN/READ

I want to ask you a question today: Are you willing to fight? Are you willing to stop the Devil from rolling over this generation or stealing the members of your family?

You and I need to rise again in the strength of our God and take the authority that God has given us. I want you to remember His words. He said, “I tell you the truth. You can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen, but you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart.”

These are the promises of the one who created the universe. These are the promises of a God who doesn’t lie and cannot fail and holds all power in His hand. He said to have faith in Him. So go ahead today and ask Him for faith; whatever your mountain today is, He can, and He will answer you.

Remember, above everything today; it’s time for you and me to pray.

And They Prayed Again

LISTEN/READ

James 5:18: “And he prayed again and the heaven gave rain and the earth produced its fruit.”

Throughout history, great good has come to people when they have made the choice to pray. The record of miracles abounds. Unarguably millions have been turned from weakness to strength, from corruption to compassion, from confusion to clear direction. Whole societies throughout history have been transformed by the presence of God.

When you and I stop to consider our world today, the best that future generations could record of us are simply these words: “And they prayed again.” My brother, my sister, it’s time for us to pray again. It’s time for us to believe that God is able to bring revival to our generation, to bring beauty out of the ashes of our present moment.

Remember, my brother, my sister, it’s time to pray.

This Could be Your Testimony

LISTEN/READ

Acts 16:27–31: “When the jailer woke and saw that the prison doors were open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself, supposing that the prisoners had escaped. But Paul cried with a loud voice, ‘Do not harm yourself for we are all here.’ And the jailer called for lights and rushed in trembling with fear. He fell down before Paul and Silas. Then he brought them out and said, ‘Sirs, what must I do to be saved?’ And they said, ‘Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household. When you and I turn to God, you will not only be faithful, but everyone who is under your influence will be touched by the presence of God in your life.’”

Paul knew that this man would give his whole heart to Christ. In doing so, even his family would be saved. By God’s grace, this can be your testimony.

It’s time to pray.

The Answer to Paul’s Prayer

LISTEN/READ

Acts 9:6: “So he, trembling and astonished said, ‘Lord, what do you want me to do?’ Then the Lord said to him, ‘Arise and go into the city and you will be told what you must do.’”

I absolutely love the answer to Paul’s prayer. Now, Paul was a brand new convert, a fresh follower of Jesus Christ. It offers you and me hope when we first decided to pray. The Lord basically told Paul, “Just go into the city, go about your business and the new pathway that I’ve established for your life will just unfold before you.”

Today in your car or on the subway, wherever you are, the same word applies to you. If you sincerely want to follow the ways of God, He will open the new path, clearly as you walk with Him. I’m telling you today, you will see it.

Remember, my brother, my sister, it’s time to pray.

God Wants Us to Speak

LISTEN/READ

Today, I want to challenge you to believe the Word of God. He wants to speak to you. He wants us to begin to speak and agree with those things that He is speaking into our hearts. He wants us to begin to make a public declaration and learn to cooperate with Him.

He speaks to us when we spend time reading His Word, and He speaks to us about the things that He wants to do. We have a choice when He begins to speak. We either drawback into unbelief or begin to speak what God is already speaking into our hearts. We might not know how it’s going to happen, but we do believe that what God has spoken, He will do.

We have people from all over the world joining us every Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. EST for our Times Square Church prayer meeting at itstimetopray.org. We’re starting to believe that God’s promises are true for each of us above everything in this generation.

It’s time to pray.

May I Encourage You

LISTEN/READ

I want to remind you today that the Bible says that whatever is written on your heart, you will confess with your mouth. May I take a moment to encourage you? Will you stop declaring that you are what you ought not to be? Will you start declaring who you are in Christ?

You need to start delighting yourself in the Lord and let Him give you the new desires of your heart. You’ll be absolutely amazed. He’s most glorified in taking us in our weakest area and using that for His glory. He’s not glorified in our strength because you and I will always touch the glory. We’ll end up saying, “Hey, look what Jesus and I did.” No.

He will take us in the weakest area of our lives, and we will know that it was only by the power of God that we are where we are in life. Trust God today in your weakness to become your strength. Go ahead, take a moment. Ask Him to make you strong.

It’s time to pray.

A Simple Prayer That Changed History

LISTEN/READ

Proverbs 3:5-6: “”Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge him and he shall direct your paths.””

There’s a famous saying by the former baseball icon, Yogi Berra: “When you come to the fork in the road, take it.”” The truth is that some people try to live that way. They try to trust in God while, at the same time, trying to figure out their way into or out of a situation.

The result is almost always a divided heart and confusion, often with an escalating lack of confidence in God. God has His GPS, let Him recalculate your route today and watch your victory start to come into view.

It’s time to pray.

The Abundance of the Heart

LISTEN/READ

Luke 6:45: “”A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.””

If you and I allow God to write His law on our hearts, our mouths will start to agree with the ways of God. We’ll start to speak about ourselves the very same thing that God says about us. You will stop saying that you’re an addict, and you’ll start declaring yourself to be an evangelist.

That’s how God sees you and what He’s called you to be. You’ll start to realize that you’re not destined to live your life in captivity. Not only are you going to be free, but you’re going to take hundreds of people with you into freedom. You’ll start speaking about what God is about in your life, and you’ll do it only when you allow Him to write His law on your heart.

It’s time to pray.

Taking Captivity Captive

LISTEN/READ

Ephesians 4:8: “Therefore He says: ‘When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive, And gave gifts to men.’”

There’s a story in the Bible in which a young prophet called Elijah takes an enemy army that had arrived to captivate the people of God captive. He did it through prayer. He led the whole army to a place where they were vulnerable, but instead of harming them, he fed them and sent them home.

Today, you and I have the same authority. We can pray that even the enemies of God suddenly become aware of the peril of their condition. Then through our kindness, may they return to their homes knowing that God is love. Yes, we have this authority. It’s ours in Christ.

It’s time to pray.

There Has to be a Fight

LISTEN/READ

There has to be a fight in this generation that rises in you. You have to win that battle in your living room. You have to win that battle in your secret places. You have to win that battle in your mind, that battle with the bottle that’s in your cupboard or with the drugs that you’re leaning on in your desk drawer. You have to win that battle now, and win it in the strength of God.

When you do, watch what God will do both with you and your family, and watch the victory that He will put in your hands. It’s time for you and me to rise in this generation in the strength of Almighty God and fight.

Join us. People from 211 countries meet every Tuesday night online, at 7:00 p.m. EST at itstimetopray.org. Watch what God will begin to do when we band together and begin to fight together and begin to believe together in this generation.

It’s time to pray.

The Power to Walk

LISTEN/READ

When we come to Christ, the Holy Spirit of God comes to live inside of us. God Himself gives us new desires. He will put a new desire in your heart and mine to forgive. Then, the will to forgive will not be outside of our ability.

When God asks you to do something, He gives you the strength to do it. It will be through Christ and the Spirit of God. That’s why Romans 8:2 tells us, “”For the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and death.””

He has given me new desires, not only new desires but He’s given you and me the power to walk in this newness of life. If the same spirit that raised Christ from the dead is in you and me, He promises that He will also quicken our mortal bodies. As 1 John 3:2 says, “”We will be like him.”” “”We will be like him.””

It’s time to pray.

Testing The Limits of God

LISTEN/READ

Genesis chapter seven, beginning at verse 11: “In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. And the rain was on the earth forty days and forty nights.”

A day that few believed would come had suddenly come. There is a point of evil behavior among people that God will no longer overlook. The resistance of men towards truth causes them to believe that they can behave any way and call any evil good while somehow being immune to the consequences of those who went before them.

This is the peril of our time. As a society, we’re unwittingly testing the limits of God. I remind you that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. It is time to think about these things.

It’s time to pray.
