Something Is Not RightLISTEN/READ
There’s something rising in the heart of believers in Christ that is telling us that something in our time is not right. It’s not right that evil is getting the upper hand. It’s not right that good is being called evil and evil is being called good. It’s not right that our children are falling prey and victims to ungodliness, even in their schools. It’s not right that our families are under attack as if somehow a husband, a wife and children is a deficient thing in society.
We might not be the biggest person in the kingdom of God, but by the living Christ in us, you and I need to take a stand. We need to allow Christ to make a difference in us and cause our voices to count for things that are eternal.
Let’s not allow the army of darkness to taunt the armies of the living God and the integrity of our God any longer. It’s time for you and I to stand up and in the power of Christ within us, make a difference. It’s time that you and I begin to pray.
When I Fall, I Will AriseLISTEN/READ
Micah, chapter seven, verses seven and eight: “Therefore I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me. Do not rejoice over me, my enemy; when I fall, I will arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord will be a light to me.”
Sometimes it’s so hard when we had hoped for a future victory only to find ourselves falling and failing again and again. We feel the taunting voices of evil rejoicing over our inability to live in sustained victory.
If this is you today remember this one thing: the strength of God is most clearly made known in the areas and times of our greatest weakness. We too have the right to say, “Do not rejoice over me, my enemy; when I fall I will arise, when I sit in darkness the Lord will be a light to me.”
Oh, it’s time to pray!
Only God Could Be Doing ThisLISTEN/READ
God is raising up his victorious army in this last generation. The scripture tells us that those who know God will do great exploits. By taking us when we are in weakness, we know that only God could be doing this, and we will be quick to give Him the glory. We know we stand only in the strength of our God and take no credit for ourselves.
It’s time to stand and be part of the army that God is now raising up and remember, it’s time to pray. There are people from over 211 countries throughout the world that are joining us every Tuesday night from 7:00 to 8:30 PM Eastern Time on itstimetopray.org.
Together, we’re believing that God’s going to be God to us and God’s going to God through us. He’s going to do something in and through our lives that will bring glory to Him in this final generation before He returns again. Why don’t you pray with us? Why don’t you believe God with us? Because we’re going to believe God for you. It’s time to pray.
Old Truths to New HeartsLISTEN/READ
God can make old truths new to our hearts. He can send His word and set people free. He can heal the brokenhearted. He can open the door to those who are captive. He can correct the pathway of those who have deviated from the truth. He can give clarity to those whose minds are confused. He can give strength to those who are weary and give resources to those who are poor. This is simply who God is, and so much more.
Let’s pray that the Lord gives us the grace and wisdom to reach people who have settled for a path for their lives that’s not sufficient; it’s not what God has called them to be or where He has called them to go.
You see, my brother, my sister, that the coming of the Lord is very, very soon. It’s up to you and I to share the truth that God has revealed to our hearts and not hold back in a single thing.
Pray that God would give you courage today. Remember, to get this courage, it’s time to pray.
The Sun Will Shine AgainLISTEN/READ
Jeremiah, chapter five, verse 22: “‘Do you not fear Me?’ says the Lord. ‘Will you not tremble at My presence, who have placed the sand as the bound of the sea, by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass beyond it? And though its waves toss to and fro, yet they cannot prevail; though they roar, yet they cannot pass over it.'”
The famous song writer, Horatio Spafford, passing over the ocean spot where a storm had claimed the lives of his children, penned these famous words, “When sorrows like sea billows roll, whatever my lot Thou hast taught me to say, ‘It is well, it is well with my soul.’”
As God’s people, God Himself has placed boundaries in our lives over which sorrow cannot pass. Sorrow can’t take away your hope no matter how faint it is for the future. Your sorrow may endure for a night, but it cannot pass over and swallow you. The sun will shine again.
It’s time to pray.
In the book of Acts, there were 120 failures in an upper room, praying and waiting on God. When God came, He filled them with the Holy Spirit and they became His battle plan in the New Testament. They stood out in the public square without weaponry, without a plan, but they had in their hearts the presence and power of God.
They were speaking about Jesus, not about themselves. It was not about anything they had strategized. It was all about Jesus Christ and the power of His Holy Spirit. Thousands that day saw it and turned to God.
Many of the 120 suffered for it, but they brought the gospel to us and to the whole known world. So, you don’t need to be mighty, noble, strong or wise. All you have to do is say “yes” to God’s battle plan. Study the history of how God works, and remember, it’s time to pray.
It’s Time to Get UpLISTEN/READ
First Kings, chapter 19, verse 13: “So it was, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood out in the entrance of the cave. Suddenly, a voice came to him and said, ‘What are you doing here, Elijah?'”
Today, you might be feeling alone and ashamed because of your failure. You cover your face, thinking that God will never speak to you or use you again. I want you to know today that you are completely wrong. Jesus loves you with an everlasting love and will never leave you or forsake you. He is not ashamed of you. He died to cover you and present you faultless before the throne of God, His Father. He has much that He still plans to do for you and through you.
My brother, my sister, listen to me today. It’s time to get up. It’s time to go forward. Jesus loves you. It’s time again to pray.
All We Have to Do Is Take the First StepLISTEN/READ
When God starts opening doors in our lives, we are just required to walk through them. Sometimes we’re hindered because we want the whole pathway laid out before us. But all we have to do is just take the first step.
We need to be willing to go where we’ve never gone before and to do what we know we can’t do without God. We should also ask the Lord to give us the willingness to speak, even when we don’t know what’s going to come out of our mouths. We need to ask God for grace to be willing to put us in places where we’re physically uncomfortable. Today, let’s be willing and just say, “Lord, here I am, send me.”
We’re praying every Tuesday night from 7:00 to 8:30 PM ET with people from all over the world who are believing that in their weakness they’re going to be made strong, and the divine purpose of God is going to be discovered in each of their lives.
It’s time to pray.
The Final Assault Against Jesus ChristLISTEN/READ
You and I are living in a crisis time in this world. I personally believe that this world is launching its final assault against the lordship of Jesus Christ. You can read about that all throughout the scriptures. There are some particular chapters, like Matthew chapter 24, that deal almost exclusively with this moment. Paul the Apostle talks about it in the books of Timothy and Thessalonians. I encourage you to take time to read and study those books.
You and I are seeing this rising of lawlessness in our generation. We’re beginning to realize that there is no real hope for peace, for reconciliation. There’s no hope for true justice according to the Word of God. You and I need the strength of God like never before so that we can be a light set upon a hill. We need to stand. We need to be bold. We need to show this generation that our Lord Jesus Christ is the only hope for peace in our world.
In order to have this strength, remember, it’s time to pray.
Mother's Day 2021LISTEN/READ
Today, I want to wish you a Happy Mother's Day and give you a promise from God. In the book of Hebrews, chapter 11, verse 35, the Scripture tells us that women received their dead raised to life again. There's nobody else in the hall of faith, as I call it, that has such a distinction given to them. That tells me that women have an access to the throne of God, to the power of God, to the restoration of God, and that His ears and heart are open to your voice.
So I encourage you to pray—for your sons, your daughters, your marriages, your husbands, your family, whatever it is—because you have power with God. This is what the Scripture is telling us.
Let it be a happy Mother's Day. I pray with all my heart that you would be found now at the throne of God taking back everything that the enemy has tried to take from you, and believing that your families will be raised to life again.
Happy Mother's Day! God bless you. We love you. It's time to pray.
When Faith Comes Into Our HeartLISTEN/READ
The Apostle Paul warns us in 2 Timothy 3:7, that in the last days, many of God's people will be characterized by this one thing: "always learning, but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth." In other words, they're always accumulating knowledge but the knowledge never takes them to a place of forward motion of faith.
Reading the Word of God and being in communication with God leads us into a place where God determines to do through us what He has destined our lives to be from the time we were conceived in our mother's womb. God has a plan for us and when faith comes into our heart, we start moving towards that plan. The knowledge of God, the Word of God, should take us to forward motion in faith.
It's time for you and me to begin to walk by faith. Remember, my brother, my sister, the way to do that is to study the Word of God and pray. It's time to pray.
Tempered Speech And PrayerLISTEN/READ
First Corinthians, chapter 1, beginning at verse 10: "Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and the same judgement. For it has been declared to me concerning you, my brethren, by those of Chloe’s household, that there are contentions among you."
It is so important now as the Church of Jesus Christ, that we be of one heart and of one mind. We are called to shine as lights in a time of bitter division in our nation. We must rise above the sweeping tides of emotions swirling about us today and be clear, tempered voices calling this lost and confused generation back to God. Our calling is higher than to be mired in the hurtful rhetoric that has become the standard behavior of our time.
For you and I, it's time to pray!
There Are So Many Facing GiantsLISTEN/READ
There are so many people today facing giants. Giants in their home, in their school, in their society and in their life.
The purpose of your life is much more than the struggle that you're facing right now. It may be something you struggle with in secret; God is going to give you power to deal with that. Once He does, He's going to bring you out as a demonstration of His glory into the public, and you're going to become a testimony of who God is. Watch and see the purpose that God has and will have for your life. You will be amazed.
Remember, my brother, my sister, it's time to pray. There's people from all over the world, 211 countries gathering online every Tuesday night from 7:00 to 8:30 PM Eastern Time at itstimetopray.org. We invite you to pray with us. God is doing absolute miracles and the weak are becoming strong.
It's time to pray.
The Battle Plan of GodLISTEN/READ
Did you know that we are the battle plan of God in the year 2021? You are the one God wants to use. You, who are addicted. You, who are despairing; the person fighting discouragement and panic attacks. You, who is just like everybody else God has ever used throughout redemptive history.
God has always used the weak to bring His plans to fruition. God has desired and designed to work through us to glorify His name; not in our strength but in our weakness. In the book of Hebrews, it says that the invitation to God's throne to commune with Him is not when you and I are strong, but when we are weak, when we need mercy, grace, and when we need God to do something that only He can do.
Trust God in your weakness and stand up in His strength. Join us as we pray together, believing that we're going to make a difference in our time. It's time to pray.
Mixing Leaven With the Strength of GodLISTEN/READ
2 Corinthians, chapter 12, verse 9: "And He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."
What an incredible thought, that God's strength finds its deepest expression when we become most aware of our weakness. When we think ourselves strong, our tendency, as the Scripture indicates, is to mix the purity and power of God's work in us with the leaven of our own frail and faulty human effort and reasoning. Thus, in effect, robbing ourselves of the pure and divine strength that is ours. That's why Paul says, "I will keep my own weakness before my face. Lest I should rely on any strength other than Christ in me."
It's time to pray.
We're Given Everything We NeedLISTEN/READ
Paul said in First Corinthians, chapter one, verses 30 and 31, "But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption—that, as it is written, ‘He who glories, let him glory in the Lord.’"
Paul is simply saying that through Christ, you and I are given everything we need to do that which He's called us to do. As God told Moses and Gideon, “Go. This is your strength—I've sent you.” To Esther, she was told she was raised for a moment such as this. And to the people in the book of Acts, the Lord simply told them to go, wait and pray. When God came and gave them what they needed to do, what He had called them to do, they stepped out of that room in the power of the Holy Spirit.
We are God's battle plan for this generation, and God will equip us with everything that we need. Rise up and go.
Pray for CourageLISTEN/READ
Proverbs, chapter 10, verse 5: “He who gathers in summer is a wise son; He who sleeps in harvest is a son who causes shame.”
There is little doubt that the harvest of precious lives that Christ died to save has reached full maturity. By that I mean that by sheer numbers and in the condition in which humankind now finds itself, many people’s hearts are now open to hear about the love, the redemption, and the divine purpose of God for their lives.
Rarely, if ever before, have we seen such an epidemic of hopelessness, depression, and addiction in this country. What a shame it would be if we, the people of God, failed to rise up for this moment—if we choose to remain silent when ears all around us are now open to the truth.
Pray for renewed courage; pray for renewed purpose in your life. It’s time to pray!
Are We Too Proud to Really Pray?LISTEN/READ
If ever there was a time in America’s history that we desperately needed the people of God to stand up and cry out in prayer, the time is now! In this National Day of Prayer special, Pastor Carter Conlon suggests that there is no better time than the present to examine the posture of our hearts and our prayers.
As always, Pastor Carter speaks candidly and asks some hard questions. Questions like: “Are we willing to consider our ways, what we’ve done, and how we’ve turned from the truth and embraced lies? Have our prayers become mechanical in nature or are we having honest face-to-face conversations with God on a daily basis?”
The God of the Bible is characterized as the God who speaks. Pastor Carter reads from Isaiah chapter 30, where God is trying to speak to the rebellious people of Judah, but they didn’t want to hear what He had to say. When we run away from doing things His way, calamity will befall us but, “Only in returning to Me and resting in Me will you be saved"(verse 15).
The Good News is that God is always available to hear our cries for help. Hebrews 4:16 reminds us that we can “come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” It’s time to pray.
We Should Refuse to Live in an Anxious PlaceLISTEN/READ
In Luke 12:22-24 Jesus said, “Therefore, I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body what you will put on. Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing. Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn, and God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds?"
A lot of people live their life worrying about everything. As Christians, we should refuse to live in an anxious place. We know God, we know how faithful He is, and it should cause us to never live there. Trust Him to supply your every need, for He cares for you.
Join with people from all over the world who gather together every Tuesday night from 7:00–8:30 PM Eastern Time at itstimetopray.org.
It's time to pray.
We Were Lifted Out of WeaknessLISTEN/READ
Jesus Christ died to pay the price for our sin so that we might be forgiven. In that forgiveness, we were taken out from under the penalty of eternal separation from God, and brought into a living relationship with Him.
The Spirit of God did something powerful when He raised Christ from the dead. Not only did He forgive us of our sin, but He also promised that the one who raised Christ from the dead will also quicken our mortal bodies. By His power, He will bring us out of a place of death, weakness, or confusion. By the Spirit of God, the promise of the cross is that we're lifted out of a place of weakness and darkness, and brought into life and light.
The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead is the same Spirit that can raise you up and equip you to do what God is calling you to do for His glory. There are no more excuses, God has already told you what He's about to do. All that's left is for you and I is to pray.
It’s time to pray.
