You and I Are Promised to be Sifted

In Hebrews, chapter 12, verse 27, the writer says, "Now this, 'yet once more,' indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain."

This may not sound like an encouraging word, but you and I are promised to be sifted and shaken in our lives. We often have to be squeezed to know what comes out. People have to know what's in you in order to follow you.

We are comforted, however, that everything that can be shaken will be shaken off so that the things which cannot be shaken may remain. O, thank God. What is left in us after the shaking is gold and silver refined in the fire and good wood to build with. For you and I, it's not time to be fearful, it's time to walk in faith. God will be faithful to you.

It's time to pray.
