Where Three or More Are Gathered
Ecclesiastes, chapter four, verse 12: "Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken."
In this passage of Scripture, the writer asks us to consider the strength which God has provided when we allow ourselves to be literally braided together with other believers in community. Though promising strength, the process begins with humility-the recognition that I can't and you can't fulfill God's purposes alone.
I need friends, I need fellowship in the church, and so do you. I need your words of encouragement, and my brother and my sister, you need mine. Together we can be much stronger than when trying to stand alone. Consider this as you pray.
Remember, it's time to pray.
