When we Cease to Pray

Remember, when we cease to pray, we become a powerless church. A prayerless church is a church that is making a declaration that they don't need the presence of God. They aren't yielded to the Lord, they don't want God's will, they don't want His way, and sadly, they don't want His Word. They want heaven and yet the right to live life their own way.

When God's people cease to pray, the promises of 2 Chronicles 7:14 just fall through their fingers and into the sand. Remember He told us, “If My people who are called by My Name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear, I will forgive and I will bring healing to their nation.” In other words, our prayer is leading us to a true relationship with God.

We need to pray that God puts His Spirit upon us in a new way that we've not yet known. We need courage now to fight for this generation.

It's time to pray.
