Welsh Revival: Spirit vs. Flesh

Psalm 126, beginning at verse 1: “When the Lord brought back the captivity of Zion, we were like those who dream. Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, ‘The Lord has done great things for them.’”

We’re talking about the Welsh Revival. According to the Oliver Price account, more was accomplished by the Spirit of God in one month than in centuries of legislation. Spiritual carelessness and division were being healed among Christians. Congregations were meeting together for united prayer. Huge crowds were attending the meetings. Families were coming back together with care and compassion one for another. Children were buying back their parents out of poor houses. People were on their knees. At a public gathering, noted for its revelry, not a single case of drunkenness was reported.

Jesus Christ is still the same forever. It’s time to pray.
