We Shall Not Die, But Live

Acts, chapter 20, beginning at verse 7: "Paul, ready to depart the next day, spoke to them and continued his message until midnight...And in a window sat a certain young man named Eutychus, who was sinking into a deep sleep. He was overcome by sleep; and as Paul continued speaking, he fell down from the third story and was taken up dead. But Paul went down, fell on him, and embracing him said, 'Do not trouble yourselves for his life is in him.'"

I suppose it would be difficult today to count the number of people who have fallen asleep in the house of God. Whether through carelessness or just a lack of commitment to what they were hearing, many seem to have no real spiritual life within them anymore.

The good news is that Jesus has not forsaken any of us. Just as Paul did, He will embrace us and proclaim us as His own and alive again. Jesus will awaken His last day church.

It's time to pray!
