We Must Be Careful
Second Chronicles, chapter 26, verse 16: "But when he was strong his heart was lifted up, to his destruction, for he transgressed against the Lord his God by entering the temple of the Lord to burn incense on the altar of incense."\n\nLike the king in this story, we start our Christian walk leaning on God for everything. But in the midst of God's blessing, if we're not careful, a transition can start to take place in our heart. As people, ministries or even great causes where things were once powered by the presence of God, sometimes we get subverted by programs and routines that cause the presence of God to depart from our lives and from our work. We must be careful to not let the supernatural become natural, and the theology of human effort to replace the power of God. Let's never get so proud and self-sufficient that we stop praying, "O God, help us."\n\nIt's time to pray.
