We Aren't Called to Escape Trouble

As the people of God, you and I aren't called to escape trouble. We aren't called to live to focus on our own safety or security, happiness, or even on our own way of doing things. We are called for a divine purpose.

As the church of Jesus Christ, we're called to be salt, and we're called to be light. We are defined this way by Jesus Christ himself. We are to bring healing and the preservation of truth. We are to create thirst for the things of God. We are to be a light set upon a hill that cannot be hidden. We are called to bring the great message of salvation to anyone that can hear it, and to go wherever he's sending us to go. We aren't just called to escape trouble, we're actually called to rise above it.
