Two Hands and a Pleading Voice
Proverbs chapter one, verses 20 and 21: "Wisdom calls aloud outside, she raises her voice in the open squares. She cries out in the chief concourses, at the openings of the gates in the city."
These verses tell us that God always has and always will call out to societies that are about to face terrible and, for some throughout history, fatal hardship. But sadly, when you go on in this chapter of scripture he says, "I have called and you refused; I stretched out my hand and no one regarded." He was offering protection and security for a soon to come and very, very dark day. But verse 33 says, "Whoever listens to me will dwell safely, and will be secure without fear of evil." I urge you to listen to the voice of God and see His outstretched hands today.
It's time to pray.
