There Is Still Time

Isaiah, chapter 1, beginning partway through verse 5: "The whole head is sick, and the whole heart faints. From the sole of the foot even to the head, there is no soundness in it, but wounds and bruises and putrefying sores. They have not been closed or bound up, or soothed with ointment. Your country is desolate. Your cities are burned with fire; strangers devour your land and your presence; and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers."

There's rarely a more lonely life than that of a prophet. A prophet is a person whom God has given the eyes to see the true spiritual condition of a society and of a nation. He or she sees as God sees. Though the country is in grave peril, the prophet also sees God's willingness to heal her if she will simply acknowledge her ways. It's called a spiritual awakening. America has had two. There's still time for a third.

It is time to pray.
