The Voice of the Father

On this Father's Day, let’s remember Psalm 29, which speaks about God's voice.

God’s voice is over the waters; it’s powerful and full of majesty. It breaks the cedars—difficult places we face in life. The voice of the Lord divides the flames of fire. It shakes the wilderness. God’s voice makes the deer give birth, or in other words, brings new life into the world.

As a father, this Father's Day, remember that God has given you that spiritual authority in your voice. You have the power to direct your home. You can speak into the lives of those that are under your authority. You have the power to direct your children. You can cast down things that would come against them to try to destroy them. You get this power through prayer and an intimate relationship with God.

It's time to pray.
